The University of Nottingham win Varsity Ice Hockey 2025-26!

The University of Nottingham reclaimed its title in the opening fixture of Varsity 2026, securing an exciting victory in front of a passionate crowd. The Green and Gold controlled much of the game, putting in a strong performance from the opening face-off and demonstrating their quality and determination throughout the contest. Despite the intensity of the fixture, University of Nottingham maintained their composure and ultimately came away with the win, giving them the perfect start to their Varsity campaign.

The result saw the University of Nottingham extend their overall Varsity lead to 8–1, putting them in a strong position as they continued their pursuit of a tenth consecutive Varsity title. With the rivalry between the two universities continuing to grow, the opening ice hockey fixture set the tone for another highly competitive Varsity series.
