Celebrating 25 Years of Mavericks Hockey
The 2026/27 season marks a special milestone for the Nottingham Mavericks: 25 years since the club was founded in 2001.
What started in 2001 has grown into a club that now proudly fields five teams across the BUIHA, plus a learn-to-play developmental team, with generations of players having worn the green and navy.
Across 25 years, the Mavericks have built an impressive record, including 11 National Championship titles and 14 Conference titles. Yet our greatest achievement is the community we've built along the way.
Players, coaches, committee members and supporters have all played their part in shaping the club we are today. While the faces may change, the ambition, passion and pride in wearing the Mavericks jersey remain the same.
As we celebrate 25 years, we look forward to the next chapter — continuing to grow the club, create opportunities and ensure that every member feels part of the Mavericks family.
To everyone who has been part of our journey, thank you.
25 years. Countless memories. One team.
